Spicy Sweet Potato Hummus

Spicy Sweet Potato Hummus

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups peeled yams
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1/4 cup raw tahini
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil (optional)
  • 2 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp. wheat free tamari
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp. pink himalayan salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne (may be adjusted to suit your tastes)
  • 1/4 tsp. coriander

Directions

Blend all ingredients until smooth.   This recipe also works well with other root vegetables such as beets and carrots!   One of my favourite savoury fall recipes. xoxo
